Register for the 2012 Stony Brook Men's Soccer Spring Game Youth Clinic - Friday, March 30th

Stony Brook University will host the University of Connecticut in a Spring Soccer Game on Friday March 30, 2012. Kickoff is 7:30pm. Ticket prices are $5 for both adults and children in advance, or $7, at the gate, on game day. This game will feature two of the top college soccer programs in the Northeast and will act as a fundraiser for the Stony Brook Men’s Soccer Program.

In addition to the game there will be a Youth Clinic conducted by the SBU players and coaches, the clinic runs from 5:30-6:30 p.m. for children ages 6-13. The cost of the clinic is $10 and that includes a game ticket. Participants in the soccer clinic must purchase their ticket in advance and bring their own soccer ball. Registration for the clinic begins at 4:30pm at LaValle Stadium.

All tickets purchased in advance will be available at the LaValle Stadium Will Call Window on the day of the game. All orders must be received prior to 5pm on Thursday, March 29.

Sports Illustrated Launched its "Facebook March Madness Cover Challenge," Allowing Fans to Submit Photos of Themselves Sporting their Favorite Team Colors!!

To submit photos fans must:

SI Photo Editors will choose a FINAL FOUR among the Entries and include them on the Cover of the Annual NCAA Tournament Preview Issue

The Sports Illustrated Facebook March Madness Cover Challenge allows fans to submit their own photos demonstrating team spirit and unbridled school passion. Sports Illustrated editors will carefully select a Final Four among the entries and include them on the cover of the annual NCAA Tournament Preview issue, scheduled to hit newsstands on March 19th.

The annual NCAA Tournament preview issue, one of the most anticipated issues of the year, features a collage of players, mascots and fans from all 68 men's teams and the top women's teams. In years past, the photos have always been captured by the capable cameras of Sports Illustrated photographers, until now.

Welcome to the Summer Camps at Stony Brook University, where your child can have an unforgettable experience at our traditional day camp, and/or in one of our themed academies. We offer three-, four-, or five-day options and campers can enroll in as little as two weeks of camp. Our camp day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Before and After Care is available for an additional cost. Lunch, snack, and one camp shirt are included in the price.

Camp Academies

The Academies are designed for the camper that has a specific interest in a particular program. Campers will spend half their day in the chosen program and the other half participating in day camp activities (unless otherwise noted). A hot lunch, snack, and one camp shirt are included. Enrollment is limited to 20 campers per academy, all on a first-come, first-served basis.

A reception will be held at 12:30 p.m, in Pritchard Lobby. The price is $25 per adult and $10 per child. Individual game tickets for 2012 NCAA WLAX Championship at Stony Brook now on sale!

The national semifinals take place on May 25 and the national championship on May 27

Individual tickets for the national semifinals and national championship game of the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship, to be held at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium on the campus of Stony Brook University, are now on sale. The national semifinals are scheduled for May 25, 2012, and the national championship game will take place May 27, 2012.

Individual game tickets cost $12 for adults and $10 for youths, ages 12 and under. Groups of 20 or more can purchase discounted tickets at $8 apiece. These prices are effective until the day of the game, when the adult ticket price rises to $14 and the youth price rises to $12. No group sales will take place on game day.
To order your tickets, call 631-632-4513 or order through the Stony Brook website GoSeawolves.org.

Tickets may also be purchased at the Stony Brook ticket office between 9:30 a.m.and 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Sellout crowds are expected for national championship weekend so be sure to reserve your spot soon.

All-session passes are also still available and cost $20 for adults and $18 for children 12 and under. Group all-session passes are also available for $16 with a minimum purchase of 20 tickets.

Stony Brook, which will be hosting the event for the second straight year, is the second host for the Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship from the state of New York since the inception of the championship in 1982. Stony Brook has previously hosted NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship events twice before.  Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium saw the biggest crowd in its history as the host of the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse North Quarterfinals which drew a record crowd of nearly 11,000, and the stadium also played host to the 2006 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse North Quarterfinals.
